Are you passionate about supporting students with additional needs to reach their full potential? Do you have the skills, experience and dedication to make a real difference in the classroom? If so, we are looking for you.
We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Advanced Support for Learning practitioner to join our inclusive and nurturing school community in Rochdale, starting in September 2025.
As an Advanced Support for Learning Assistant, you will:

Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to provide targeted support for pupils with a range of additional needs
-
Deliver small group or 1:1 interventions to support learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
-
Contribute to planning, monitoring and reviewing personalised learning programmes
-
Support inclusive practices and promote independence in learning
-
Build strong relationships with students, families and professionals
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs, who is ready to take the next step in their career.
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has experience working with children with additional needs in a school or similar setting
-
Understands the barriers to learning and how to support pupils to overcome them
-
Has strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
-
Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
-
Is able to follow EHCPs and contribute to progress reviews

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
