Supply Teaching Assistant - Frome

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting teaching assistants and support workers across Somerset. We are exclusively partnered with the large majority of the schools in the area, who come directly to Teaching Personnel for their daily and long term supply needs.

Supply teachers are free from the time constraints of full time teachers. You will be able to choose between working full time in long term roles (half a term +), short term stints, a few days a week or the odd day here and there; this can be done on a basis that will suit you.

Supply TA qualifications & skills: how to become a supply teaching assistant?

Qualifications

A minimum education level to be permitted to working in a school is GCSE English and Maths (A-C). Any additional qualifications would be beneficial, including further education and related training, such as MAKATON and TEAM TEACH.

About the role?

In a typical ad-hoc role:

• Work between 08.30 - 15.30
• Paid £9.00 per hour (with room to increase dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Working with children and young adults (4 - 18)

To be suitable to this working role you must be able to go through a vetting process with Teaching Personnel. This will include an enhanced CHILD WORKFORCE DBS and the collection of 2 graded references.
