Sports Coach - Salford Quays

Are you a recent sports graduate looking for a role within secondary education? Are you an experienced sports coach looking for your next role?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our partner secondary schools located close to Salford Quays who are seeking a full time Sports Coach from Easter 2019 until the end of the academic year. Due to a shortage in the PE department, our client school would like to fill a gap with a Sports Coach with a view that the role could continue into the 2019/2020 academic year.

  • Full time Sports Coach from Easter 2019
  • Until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Delivering a range of sports sessions to students in both KS3 and KS4
  • Earn up to £350 per week (dependent on experience)

Our partner secondary school is located close to Salford Quays close to a local tram stop which offers excellent public transport links for prospective candidates. With just over 500 students enrolled from the surrounding areas of Salford, Old Trafford and Firswood, this growing academy is becoming increasingly popular due to having a positive Progress 8 score of 0.27 which is in line with the national average.

"Leaders are ambitious for the school. They systematically plan actions to ensure that there is improvement. Communication within the school, to pupils and parents is effective. All members of the school community are respectful and tolerant and work together to bring about change in a positive way. The improvement already achieved in the school indicates that the people needed are in place for such improvement to continue." Ofsted, July 2016.

As a Sports Coach at this mixed comprehensive academy, you will be expected to run a number of sessions covering a range of different sports to students in both KS3 and KS4. This will be assisting the PE department in delivering both theory and practical lessons. Experience across many different sports is advantageous to applying for this position, and recent sports graduates are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity to gain paid experience in a secondary school for those considering a career in secondary school teaching.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Sports Coach, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
