Sports Coach

Are you a sports graduate with a passion for working with children? Are you an aspiring PE Teacher and looking to gain further experience within a Secondary setting?

If so, a larger than average secondary school, located in Sheffield are currently looking to appoint a graduate teaching assistant to work in their PE department across KS3, KS4 and KS5. As well as this the role will also require you to be able to lead PE sessions and assist with teaching where required.

This role will require someone who is adaptable and has a willingness to learn and develop, in addition to acting as a positive role model for pupils, with the majority of pupils coming from disadvantaged background and therefore will require someone with a real passion to make a difference.

To be successful you will need to:

  • Hold a sports degree
  • Have experience working with children (In school experience is preferable, however not essential)
  • Be enthusiastic
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work well as part of a team
  • Have a real willingness to make a difference
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs or challenging behaviour. ( Preferable but not essential)
