Job description
Sport Learning Support Assistant – Cardiff
Pay: £13.75 per hour | £89.38 per day
I’m working closely with a Bridgend-based school committed to supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and am seeking enthusiastic, sports-oriented individuals eager to grow their experience in an educational environment.
Whether your experience with additional needs is professional or personal, your insight will be highly valued and will help you make a meaningful impact from day one.
This school supports pupils aged3 to 19, so the ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff is essential. Familiarity with the Welsh curriculum is a plus, as it will help you effectively support learners during lessons. A background in sports or physical education is particularly welcome, as it can play a key role in engaging students and promoting well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Supporting student participation and focus during lessons and activities
-
Implementing appropriate strategies to manage challenging behaviours
-
Attending relevant training and professional development sessions
Requirements:
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and EWC registration
-
Understanding of child development, including support for those with disabilities or behavioural challenges
If you're passionate about education and eager to bring your sporting skills into the classroom, we’d love to hear from you. Click ‘Apply’ below and we’ll be in touch to arrange a conversation about the role and your next steps.
