Do you have experience working with young adults or children with complex behaviour and/or learning difficulties?
Or perhaps you have a background as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Key Worker or Youth Worker and feel confident working with children?
To work with pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties associated with ASD
Term-time only, NHS band 5 to start ASAP
The school in Maidenhead is a new special free school, which opened in September 2015 for children and young people with a primary diagnosis of autism. All pupils have some degree of speech, language and social communication needs.
The school delivers the national curriculum underpinned by the principles of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis). We currently cater for 62 pupils between the ages of 4 and 15 years. The school will expand to cater for a maximum of 96 pupils over the next few years and cater to age 16.
Pay Rate £23,000 to £30,000 per Annum!
You'll need:
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- The ability to create positive working relationships with clients of all ages
- Creativity, to turn therapy into a game when working with children
- The ability to motivate and encourage clients to continue with treatment
