Job description

Speech and Language Support Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity (Bury)

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Bury on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children with communication and language needs, working closely with teaching staff and external specialists to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience or training in speech and language development, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike. Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, implementing intervention strategies, and helping pupils overcome barriers to communication so they can fully access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.

This position is based in Bury and offers competitive day rates in line with experience, along with the chance to work in a supportive school community committed to professional development and inclusive practice. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
