Teaching Assistant With Speech, Language and Communication Support Experience Needed!

Teaching Personnel are working with a vibrant primary school on the outskirts of Cambridge. They are looking for a Teaching assistant who specialises in Supporting Pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Issues.

Are you an English, Linguistics, Psychology or even a Speech and Language graduate? Or have you got the linguistic knowledge to effectively support pupils with communication difficulties as a Teaching Assistant? Do you have experience of working on a 1 to 1 basis to help support speech, language and communication?

Could you see yourself working as a Teaching Assistant supporting an EYFS pupil with Speech & Language difficulties?

What they are looking for

• English, Linguistics, Psychology or a Speech and Language Graduate Desirable
• Experience in a Post Supporting Pupils with Communication Issues
• Prior experience working 1 to 1 and leading groups with early year pupils.
• A Teaching assistant that will be able to build strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents
• NVQ Level 3 Desirable.

You will be working on a 1 to 1 basis with a child in EYFS who has Difficulties with speech and communication. On top of this you will support small groups to assist with the development of their speech to help progress them to a practical level.
