We are working closely with an established special needs school based in Ealing who are looking to appoint 2 special needs teaching assistants to support pupils in an Early Years and Year 2 class with physical disabilities and complex medical needs. The role is full-time starting in September 2020 and will be for two terms minimally to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with integrating back into learning, development and care.
The school based in Greenford, Ealing has a Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) department and autism department. Newly appointed special needs teaching assistants will be joining their PMLD department team.
Special need teaching assistants will support children also with overall care such as moving and handling, personal care, therapies, feeding and medication. Confidence supporting academically is vital as children will need support with learning in class based on the national curriculum.
Those with training will be prioritised due to the complex needs of pupils but all applicants are welcome.

If you have experience in any of the following send your CV today:
- As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in special needs educational settings
- Supporting primary aged children or young people 1:1 with physical disabilities, complex medical conditions and learning needs
- Supporting with moving and handling, personal care or medication
- Supporting physiotherapy, speech and language therapy or occupational therapy
- Using PECS, TEACCH, Makaton
- With de-escalation training such as Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
