We are currently advertising for an SEN Teaching Assistant role in the Milton Keynes area. You will be working with individuals who have physical abilities, sensory impairment, speech or language difficulties and also learning difficulties such as dyslexia, Autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, or have a combination of these.
As a special educational needs teacher you'll be working with young people who need extra support, or require an advanced programme of learning in order to reach their full educational potential. You will be teaching either individuals or small groups of pupils within, or outside the class. A key aspect of working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
If you have experience or qualifications in any of the following then we would love to hear from you....
- Youth/Community work experience
- Youth Offending Service experience
- Support/Care Work
- Special Education Needs Experience (either within a work or a personal environment)
- Experience in assisting people with social, emotional and mental health issues (either within a work or a personal environment)
- Sports coaching, qualifications or experience
- Mentoring/Tutoring
- Teaching/Learning Support Assistance
- Challenging behaviour outside of a school environment
- Degree in Psychology or education
