Job description

TP Tutors is seeking committed and skilled SEN Tutors in Dorchester to provide personalised tuition in Maths, English, and Science.

This role is ideal for educators who want to step away from large classroom settings and deliver focused, structured support that truly changes outcomes for learners with additional needs.

The Opportunity

Position: SEN Tutor – Core Subjects
Location: Dorchester (home and community-based tuition)
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time

What You’ll Deliver

  • Structured lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes

  • Bespoke planning tailored to individual learner profiles

  • Support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs

  • Targeted strategies to close subject knowledge gaps

  • Clear progress tracking and attainment reporting

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject

  • Experience supporting students with SEN

  • Confidence in scaffolding and differentiating learning

  • A patient, proactive, and resilient mindset

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
