Are you a passionate SEN educator ready to truly change lives?

At TP Tutors, we are expanding across Dorset and are seeking dedicated, empathetic SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 and small group tuition to children and young people with additional needs.

This is more than tutoring — it’s rebuilding confidence, restoring engagement, and transforming futures.


Role Details

Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Specialist Support)
Location: Dorset – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time


How You’ll Make a Difference

✔ Deliver engaging sessions aligned with EHCP targets
✔ Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and other additional needs
✔ Assess starting points and create structured progression pathways
✔ Re-engage pupils outside mainstream education
✔ Use adaptive, therapeutic-informed teaching strategies
✔ Build trusting relationships that nurture emotional wellbeing
✔ Provide consistent progress updates to families and professionals

Your work will help young people rediscover belief in themselves and develop a positive relationship with learning.


✅ What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching
• Experience with SEND and SEMH needs
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

We welcome qualified teachers, SEN specialists, HLTAs, TAs, tutors, and experienced support practitioners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
