Job description

Become a Local SEN Tutor in Dorchester and Nearby Areas with TP Tutors

Are you passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive? Do you live in or near Dorchester? Join TP Tutors and make a real difference by delivering personalised 1:1 or small group tuition in Maths, English, or core subjects.

We’re seeking patient, understanding, and committed individuals with experience in education, youth work, care, or SEN support who are dedicated to helping learners overcome barriers and build confidence.

Role: SEN Tutor (SEND Support Opportunities Available)
Location: Dorchester and nearby areas 
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time


How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet each learner’s individual needs

  • Support students with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

  • Create a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment

  • Deliver sessions in learners’ homes or appropriate community settings

  • Encourage independence, engagement, and positive progress


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education, mentoring, youth work, care, etc.)

  • Confidence supporting primary or secondary-aged learners

  • Based in Dorchester or surrounding areas and able to travel locally or deliver online tuition

  • Calm, adaptable, and reliable professionals

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
