TP Tutors is expanding across Weymouth and is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 and small group tuition in Maths, English and Science.

This is an opportunity to provide structured, subject-focused support that helps learners close gaps, rebuild confidence, and achieve meaningful academic progress.

Role Details

Position: SEN Tutor – Maths, English & Science
Location: Weymouth – learner homes and community settings
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver structured sessions aligned with EHCP targets

  • Provide targeted support in Maths, English and/or Science

  • Adapt subject content to meet individual learning needs

  • Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and additional needs

  • Assess starting points and create tailored academic pathways

  • Provide clear progress reports to families and schools

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths, English or Science

  • Background supporting children or young people with SEN

  • Strong knowledge of adaptive and inclusive teaching strategies

  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
