Are you a dedicated SEN educator looking for a flexible, rewarding role where your work truly makes a difference?

TP Tutors is expanding in Christchurch, and we are seeking compassionate SEN Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 and small group tuition to children and young people with additional needs.

This is more than teaching — it’s helping learners regain confidence, engage with education, and achieve their potential.


Role Details

Position: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Specialist Support)
Location: Christchurch – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time (flexible to suit you)


How You’ll Make an Impact

✔ Deliver engaging, tailored sessions aligned with EHCP targets
✔ Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and other additional needs
✔ Assess academic starting points and design achievable progression plans
✔ Re-engage pupils who are out of mainstream education or struggling in school
✔ Apply adaptive, therapeutic-informed teaching strategies
✔ Build positive, trusting relationships to support emotional wellbeing
✔ Provide clear progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors

You will help learners rediscover self-belief, independence, and a positive relationship with learning.


✅ What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Strong knowledge of inclusive and adaptive teaching methods
• Understanding of SEND, SEMH, or additional learning barriers
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
