SEN Tutor – Christchurch

Flexible One-to-One Tuition Opportunities with TP Tutors

TP Tutors is recruiting SEN Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition across Christchurch and nearby areas.

We support learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and those who require extra support to re-engage with education. This is an excellent opportunity to make a direct and lasting difference through personalised learning.

Location: Christchurch and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings, or learners' homes

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver personalised tuition sessions designed around individual needs
  • Plan engaging lessons that support academic and personal development
  • Adapt teaching approaches to maximise learner engagement
  • Build confidence, independence, and resilience in learners
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records
  • Develop positive, supportive relationships with learners and families

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, teaching assistance, or education support
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Ability to travel across Christchurch and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
