SEN Tutor Roles Available Across Gillingham

TP Tutors is recruiting Specialist SEN Tutors to support students with additional educational needs throughout Gillingham and nearby areas. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to help learners build confidence, develop skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

Vacancy Information

  • Location: Gillingham and surrounding communities
  • Working Pattern: Full-time or part-time flexibility available
  • Tuition Type: One-to-one, in-person sessions

The Role

You will provide bespoke educational support for learners who may face barriers related to Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or gaps in education. Every programme is tailored to the individual learner's needs and goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons designed around individual learning requirements
  • Encouraging motivation and a positive attitude towards learning
  • Developing personalised educational plans
  • Reviewing learner progress and adapting support where needed
  • Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and productive learning environment
  • Travelling to tutoring locations across Gillingham and nearby areas

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous
  • Suitable for teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, mentors, and SEN practitioners
  • Empathetic and professional approach
  • Effective communication and planning skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Willingness to travel locally for tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
