Job description

Inspire Young Minds in Christchurch

TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition for children and young people across Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

If you have experience supporting learners with additional needs and want to make a meaningful difference, we'd love to hear from you. You'll work with pupils who have autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and other SEND needs, helping them build confidence, achieve academic progress, and reach their full potential.

Location & Pay

  • Location: Christchurch and surrounding areas
  • Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
  • Pay: £25–£30 per hour
  • Delivery: One-to-one sessions in schools, learners' homes, or community settings

What You'll Do

  • Deliver tailored tuition based on individual learning plans
  • Create engaging and adaptable lessons that meet each learner's needs
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Monitor learner progress and complete session records
  • Work collaboratively with schools, families, carers, and other professionals

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, Teaching Assistant roles, or similar
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Ability to travel across Christchurch and nearby locations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
