Job description

Empower Learners Through Personalised One-to-One Tuition

TP Tutors is looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Tutors to deliver personalised one-to-one tuition across Poole and nearby areas.

We work with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and those requiring alternative education or support to re-engage with learning. Every tuition programme is tailored to help learners build confidence, develop skills, and achieve meaningful progress.

Location: Poole and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in learners' homes, schools, or community settings

What You'll Be Doing

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, personalised tuition based on each learner's individual needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles
  • Support both academic progress and personal development
  • Build learners' confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, teaching assistance, or education support
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to travel across Poole and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
