SEN Tutor – Bournemouth

Flexible One-to-One Tuition Opportunities with TP Tutors

TP Tutors is seeking dedicated SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition across Bournemouth and surrounding areas.

You'll support children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and those who need extra help to re-engage with education. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a positive impact through tailored learning.

Location: Bournemouth and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings, or learners' homes

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition tailored to individual learner needs
  • Plan lessons that support academic achievement and personal development
  • Adapt your teaching style to maximise engagement
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Monitor progress and complete accurate session records
  • Build supportive relationships with learners and families

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, teaching assistance, or education support
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to travel throughout Bournemouth and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
