Job description

SEN Tutor – Poole

Inspire Confidence, Independence and Educational Success

TP Tutors is recruiting compassionate and committed SEN Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition throughout Poole and the surrounding areas.

We support children and young people who require additional educational assistance, including those with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, or those currently outside mainstream education. This role is an opportunity to deliver impactful support that helps learners achieve both academically and personally.

Location: Poole and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour
Contract Type: Flexible part-time and full-time positions

The Role

• Provide personalised one-to-one tuition sessions
• Assess learner needs and develop targeted learning plans
• Build confidence and encourage independent learning
• Adapt teaching methods to maximise engagement
• Monitor learner progress and adjust support where required
• Maintain accurate records and professional communication

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience working with children or young people
• Understanding of SEND and additional learning needs
• Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or support work
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles
• Reliable, adaptable, and learner-centred approach
• Ability to travel within Poole and nearby locations

TP Tutors is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS and compliance checks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
