SEN Tutor – Gillingham

Flexible One-to-One Tuition Opportunities with TP Tutors

TP Tutors is looking for compassionate and motivated SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition across Gillingham and surrounding areas.

This role offers the opportunity to support learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and gaps in education. Through tailored tuition, you will help young people develop confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve meaningful academic progress.

Location: Gillingham and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community venues, or learners' homes

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Create engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support different SEN profiles
  • Encourage learner confidence, motivation, and independence
  • Track progress and provide clear session feedback
  • Foster positive relationships that support educational success

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, teaching assistant, or similar educational experience
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities
  • Ability to travel within Gillingham and surrounding locations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
