About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our friendly education team in the Brackley area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in achieving their academic potential within a structured and supportive educational setting.

The role may involve working with primary, secondary, or post-16 learners, providing tailored support either 1:1 or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs

• Support students in core subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science – subject specialism welcomed)

• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents/carers and staff

• Build positive, professional relationships with students

• Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (if applicable)

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working in an educational setting (school, tutoring centre, alternative provision, or similar)

• Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners

• Ability to motivate and inspire students

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree, PGCE, QTS – desirable but not essential depending on experience)

Desirable:

• Experience supporting learners with SEND

• Experience preparing students for GCSE or functional skills exams

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

This role is based in Brackley, with good transport links to surrounding areas including Banbury and Milton Keynes.
