About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our friendly education team in the Brackley area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in achieving their academic potential within a structured and supportive educational setting.
The role may involve working with primary, secondary, or post-16 learners, providing tailored support either 1:1 or in small groups.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs

Support students in core subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science – subject specialism welcomed)
-
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents/carers and staff
-
Build positive, professional relationships with students
-
Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (if applicable)

Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working in an educational setting (school, tutoring centre, alternative provision, or similar)

Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners
-
Ability to motivate and inspire students
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree, PGCE, QTS – desirable but not essential depending on experience)
Desirable:
-
Experience supporting learners with SEND
-
Experience preparing students for GCSE or functional skills exams
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

This role is based in Brackley, with good transport links to surrounding areas including Banbury and Milton Keynes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
