SEN Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Harlesden

Are you a special needs teaching assistant seeking a challenging new role within a mainstream Primary School? Do you have experience supporting pupils with Autism, Global Learning Delay, ADHD and Down-Syndrome? If yes, we want to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking two learning support assistants to join an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Primary School located in Harlesden. This is a position to begin straight after the February half-term.

About The Role:

This is a full-time position supporting pupils with complex needs. Your main duties will consist of:

  • Tailoring class activities to suit the needs of the pupils
  • Working on a one-to-one basis with the pupil to ensure that his needs are met
  • Assisting the classroom teacher with the preparation and planning of class activities
  • Encouraging appropriate social interaction
  • Making observations and providing detailed feedback

This fantastic school ensure that all children are confident, self-believing and life long learners and they create an environment where curiosity is welcomed. This is a large primary school that has three-form entry across KS1 and four-form entry in upper KS2. This is an extremely supportive school that encourages members of staff to work collaboratively and to share ideas.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Good spoken and written English
  • Have a valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application immediately

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
