Graduate Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Hampshire
Locations: Winchester | Andover | Basingstoke | Farnborough | Hook
Are you a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in education, psychology, or support services? We are recruiting motivated and compassionate graduates to work as Special Needs Teaching Assistants in specialist schools across Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to build practical experience, develop professional skills, and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. No previous school experience is required — full training and ongoing support are provided.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and specialist staff. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting learning activities in small groups or one-to-one

Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Assisting with communication and social development
-
Supporting daily routines and promoting independence
-
Contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment

SEN Schools – Supporting pupils with autism, physical or learning disabilities, medical needs, or communication difficulties.
SEMH Schools – Supporting pupils with social, emotional, or mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma, and behavioural challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
