Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Hampshire Locations: Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook We are seeking warm, dependable, and motivated individuals to work as Special Needs Teaching Assistants in specialist schools across Hampshire. You do not need formal qualifications or previous school experience — we welcome applicants from all walks of life who are interested in supporting children with additional needs. About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils throughout the school day. This may include helping with learning activities, encouraging positive behaviour, assisting with daily routines, and working closely with teachers and other support staff. When you apply, you will have the opportunity to tell us which type of setting interests you most. We want to understand your preferences, strengths, and career goals so we can match you to the right environment. You can choose to work in one of the following settings: SEN Schools – supporting children with autism, physical or learning disabilities, medical needs, or communication difficulties. SEMH Schools – supporting children with social, emotional, or mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma, or behavioural challenges. We take time to carefully match you to a school that suits your interests, strengths, and level of experience. Experience in areas such as childcare, care work, youth work, support work, healthcare, or family settings can be helpful, but it is not required. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
