Job description

 SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Primary School in Bispham 

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and creativity to help a young learner thrive? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bispham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil on a 1:1 basis from September 2025.

Your Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with additional needs (including ASC)
  • Deliver engaging, tailored activities that support learning and development
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt resources and strategies
  • Encourage communication, confidence, and social interaction
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
