SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: South Shore, Blackpool, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Flexible, weekly pay

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Sout Shore. We are looking to appoint a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs in this excellent school.

About the Role:
This is a full-time, long-term role, running throughout the 2025/26 academic year. You will be working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to support pupils with diverse needs including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs

  • Supporting children’s learning, development and emotional well-being

  • Helping create a calm, structured and supportive environment

  • Assisting with personal care and sensory activities, where required

  • Collaborating with staff and external professionals to ensure tailored support is in place

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly within a school or specialist setting

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • The ability to adapt to meet the varying needs of individual pupils

  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-specific training are desirable

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
