SEN Teaching Assistant

Due to an internal staff absence, Teaching Personnel are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding secondary school in central Manchester. The successful Teaching Assistant will join our the school in November 2019 and will be required on a full time basis until Christmas in the first instance with the potential to continue in the New Year.

The successful candidate will be working one-to-one with students with Autism, supporting small groups of students with complex needs and working with challenging students across the age range. They will support in class and also outside of the classroom to provide academic and emotional support when required. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will join the schools SEN team and will support the schools team of specialist Teaching Assistants. We are looking for an individual who has experience working with students aged 11-18 and has experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will join a popular oversubscribed school in central Manchester and will be required on a full time basis until Christmas in the first instance. The school is graded as Outstanding by Ofsted and has excellent facilities throughout. The school is located just a short drive from the city centre and is also easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
