SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a caring and positive individual to provide additional support to pupils with additional needs. You will primarily be based in KS2 however you may be required to work in KS1 on some days.

The ideal candidate would have a minimum NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or is degree qualified.

The Role:

• Confident working with a range of SEN and EAL pupils, including downs syndrome, autism and non verbal children

• Assist with the management of pupil behaviour

• The ability to manage confrontation and difficult behaviour

• Regular update of student records

• Providing feedback to students and parents with progress towards targets

• Deliver a level of attention suitable to pupil's needs

• Using initiative, the ability to adapt and be creative when dealing with different needs

This particular school is based within a 10 minute walk from the nearest underground station, with other public transport links within a 3 minute walk. We are currently working with many other schools in and around Hounslow who also have multiple public transport options, with some schools offering onsite parking. This particular position is a temp to perm position paying from £65 with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
