- Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - York
- Start Date: September 2019
- Hours: 0830-1530 Monday to Friday, minimum of 3 days a week
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a client School in York, to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant for a September 2019 start date. Ideally you will have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary or SEN School, however applications from Youth Workers or Care Assistants are welcomed. The role is to support students with a diagnosis of Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, Downs Syndrome, Physical Disabilities and Speech, Language and Communication Needs, across all Primary ages.
SEN Teaching Assistant Ideal Requirements:
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs
- Knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and P-Scales or EYFS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be pro-active, charismatic and energetic
- Help every child to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally and socially
- Be able to follow instructions
