SEN Teaching Assistant required for the secondary provision of a special school based in Blandford Forum to start immediately for day to day supply throughout the academic year.

** SEN Teaching Assistant working with Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties

** Combination of In Class and Out of Class SEN Teaching Assistant post

** SEN Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

** Suitable for experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experienced working with EBD

SEN Teaching Assistant work to start after the Easter break at all-through Special School catering for children and young people with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

The SEN Teaching Assistant vacancy is within the secondary provision, a thriving part of the school.

The children have moderate to severe learning difficulties and EBD and can present with some challenging behaviour. We are looking for a confident and self-assured SEN Teaching assistant who can start ASAP and hit the ground running working across different classes. Particularly we are looking for an SEN professional who can enhance the positive behaviour support across the provision.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant at the school you will benefit from a highly skilled and supportive staff team and ongoing training to assist your development. Previous experience working with children with learning difficulties is essential and knowledge of alternative communication methods such as Makaton and PECs would be beneficial. As an SEN Teaching Assistant at the school you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
