Are you a Teaching Assistant with great Behaviour Support management?
Are you looking for a new role with children that have challenging behaviour and Social Emotional mental health needs?
I am currently recruiting for Teaching Assistant to work within a Alternative Provision in the Thanet area. You will need to have great behaviour management and be able to easily de-escalate situations with the children. It would be desirable if you had experience working with challenging behavioural students or have been working in a similar role. These students may have been permanently excluded/ be on the edge of exclusion from Mainstream Schools or have Social Emotional Mental Health. Because of this you will need to have confidence and be passionate about your work, you must be able to quickly build rapport with the students to help and support them should they require it. You must also be confident working with students that have these behavioural needs and be able to use your initiative to stop situations before they arise.
To be considered for this role you must have -
Experience working with Challenging Behavioural students or have previously worked in a similar role
Be able to quickly build rapport with the students and other staff members
Have a confident teaching approach and great behaviour management
Have an up-to-date DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Be motivated and be able to keep the children engaged with the lesson
Report and feedback to Teachers and SLT
Team Teach trained would be highly desirable
Full driving licence would also be desirable
