SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a special educational needs teaching assistant for a one to one support role within one of our mainstream primary school's in Portsmouth.

The position is predominantly supporting one pupil on a 1-1 basis, there will also be some general whole class support involved in the position.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting a pupil on a 1-1 basis, helping the pupil stay on task during lessons and activities
  • Supporting the whole class as and when required
  • Helping the pupil make progress with core subjects
  • Supporting the young person to access and enjoy all areas of the curriculum

Skills and Experience Required

You will have experience supporting children, either within a school setting or another childcare setting. You may have qualifications to support your knowledge in this area. Any experience support special educational needs and disabilities pupils will be beneficial.
