Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Hulme, Manchester
Salary: £450 – £500 per week
Contract: Full-time, Term-time


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support a range of schools across South and Central Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about education and eager to gain meaningful hands-on classroom experience.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with diverse learning needs, working alongside teachers and SEN teams, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for anyone considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth support.

We welcome all degree backgrounds, and your specialist subject knowledge can be used to support curriculum areas such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, or creative subjects. This is the perfect stepping stone for graduates who want to make a real impact while developing valuable school‑based experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN departments to assist in classroom learning.
  • Deliver one‑to‑one or small‑group interventions to help pupils progress.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment as a dependable Teaching Assistant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
