Attendance Officer – Primary School (L13 Area)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £13.75 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am – 1:00pm, Monday–Friday
Contract: Short Term
Teaching Personnel are seeking a reliable, organised Attendance Officer to support a welcoming and community-focused Primary School in the L13 area of Liverpool. This is a short-term role ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.

The Role
As the school’s Attendance Officer, you will play a vital part in ensuring pupils are attending regularly and on time. Duties include:
- Recording and monitoring daily pupil attendance
- Making first-day response calls to parents/carers
- Updating SIMS or similar school management systems
- Producing attendance reports for senior leaders
- Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Supporting the school office with general administrative tasks
This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
The Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working in a school office or educational setting (preferred)
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Experience using SIMS or similar databases
- Confidence communicating with parents, pupils, and staff
- A professional, calm, and empathetic approach
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

The school is easily accessible via public transport, with regular bus routes serving the L13 area. There is also nearby on-street parking for those travelling by car.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
