Science Teacher

Location: Cheadle Hulme
Pay: £150 – £210 per day
Contract: Full-time, Part-time, Long-term all available


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our supply team and support well-regarded secondary schools near the Cheadle Hulme area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who wants to teach engaging Science lessons while enjoying the flexibility and balance that supply work offers.

As a Science Teacher, you’ll be delivering high‑quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 using pre-prepared plans, allowing you to focus purely on teaching and supporting student progress. You won’t be expected to take on long-term planning or extensive meetings, but you will still make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

This Science Teacher position is ideal for someone who thrives in new environments and enjoys the variety that supply teaching provides across different school settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging and structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support and assess student progress throughout your placement.
  • Adapt confidently to different classes and school routines.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science.
  • Previous experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
  • Confidence in quickly building rapport and managing behaviour effectively.
