About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to work in secondary schools across Stockport and the wider area. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching practice, and make a real impact on students’ learning.
You will deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering curiosity about the world around them and helping learners develop strong scientific understanding and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students to explore scientific concepts, investigations, and real-world applications.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute to student progress and achievement.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring young people to enjoy and succeed in Science.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
