We are looking for Teaching Assistants to support a Catholic school with pupils aged 4-19. The pupils within this school all have an EHCP which name an additional need such as Autism, and Communication.
The school prides itself on its ability to track and improve the progress of its pupils with the help of excellent teachers and teaching assistants. With support of committed and educated staff, the school’s aims are to support individual pupils maximize their communication skills, improve their ability to access the national curriculum and to get the most from the general educational, social and spiritual life of the school.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant would be to support these young people throughout their school day. Tasks involved in this would be to help with lessons planned by the teacher, many of which are focussed on social development, character building and based in holistic and play Therapies.
You would be supported by not only the teacher but other support staff such as Teaching Assistants, therapists, and other specialist support.
The ideal candidate would be a Teaching Assistant who has:
- Experience of working with Autism
- A passion and dedication for working with children
- A strong and warm personality

In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
