Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Burnley and Pendle and we're looking to recruit enthusiastic Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

We have a variety of opportunities available across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals looking to further develop their career within education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their full potential by:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
• Assisting with the preparation and organisation of classroom activities and learning resources.
• Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND, EAL and additional learning needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
• Supporting literacy, numeracy and phonics development.
• Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Supervising pupils during playtimes, educational visits and other school activities.
• Helping pupils develop socially, emotionally and academically.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Holds a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is patient, proactive and adaptable.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
