A primary school in Longridge is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from November 2026. The school is looking for someone who can provide high-quality classroom support and help pupils flourish both academically and personally.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children in Years 3-6 and is confident supporting learning across a range of curriculum areas.

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Providing targeted support in core subjects, including Maths, English and Science.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Assisting with classroom organisation, resources and daily routines.
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience supporting children within a classroom setting.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is proactive, reliable and adaptable.
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
