Teaching Assistant – Bacup

£14.25 per hour | Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school in Bacup. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children and helping them to thrive in the classroom.

The role is expected to be predominantly based in KS2, however, the successful candidate must be happy and confident working across both KS1 and KS2, as flexibility may be required.

The Role

• Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
• Start date: After October half term, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate
• Duration: Long-term, running until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue into the following academic year
• Pay: From £14.25 per hour
• Predominantly supporting pupils in KS2
• General Teaching Assistant responsibilities, supporting pupils both individually and within the classroom
• Working across KS1 and KS2 where required
• Supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural needs
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils make progress and engage positively with learning

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare/children's qualification
• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar school-based role
• Have experience supporting children with SEND and behavioural needs
• Be confident managing and supporting a range of needs and abilities
• Be comfortable working across KS1 and KS2
• Have a patient, nurturing and positive approach
• Be reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting children's learning and development
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Teaching Personnel will be supporting the school throughout the recruitment process and throughout your placement.
