An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive mainstream Primary School in Chorley. This long-term role until Easter 2027 is ideal for an individual who is passionate about education and committed to helping pupils thrive in the classroom.

You will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons while ensuring all pupils have access to the learning opportunities they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Encourage pupil participation and engagement in lessons.
• Help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Work with pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Prepare learning resources and classroom materials.
• Support the social and emotional development of pupils.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or within a school setting preferred.
• Passion for education and child development.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to secure one.
• A flexible and proactive attitude.
