Teaching Personnel are the leading recruitment agency for Education, covering England and Wales. Our Sheffield secondary office is located in the Sheffield city centre and services the majority of schools across South Yorkshire. Our client secondary school is located in Barnsley and is seeking a number of SEN Teaching Assistant's to join their SEN department in time for the cohort of new Y7 pupils. There are a number of positions on offer, all being full time roles starting from September.

The school is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with a range of skills and experiences to work with their pupils. Applications encouraged from SEN Teaching Assistants who have experience working with:

  • Young people with mild-moderate Autism
  • Young people with variant learning difficulties e.g. Dyslexia or Dyspraxia
  • Young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH)
  • Young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

The secondary school is located in north Sheffield, boasts the most up-to-date facilities with various purpose built departments. The school has a strong focus on the personal development of their pupils, believing school is about individual growth as well as academic achievement. The forward thinking school sets high standards for both pupils and teachers alike, encouraging all within the school environment to strive for success and reach their full potential.
