Job description

A secondary academy in North Bristol is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 children in their Thrive Room. This is a full-time role to start ASAP and is likely to be for the whole academic year. You will report directly to the SENCO and will be fully supported throughout.

You must have SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience, whether in be with adults or children, in or out of an education setting. Experience with pupils with autism is preferred but not essential. You must be patient, structured and most importantly, committed as continuity is key here!

The school is a very organised academy which is part of a larger multi-academy trust with another successful secondary school and two primary schools. The demographic is mixed and has been rated GOOD by OFSTED. It is very easy to get to with lots of bus routes on the Gloucester Road. This also links well with south Bristol too.
