SEN Teaching Assistant – Swinton (M27)

Teaching Personnel are hiring a Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN primary school in Swinton.

This role involves providing one-to-one support for two higher-ability KS1 pupils with ASC.

These pupils require additional support staying on task. The incoming TA will follow an EHCP to ensure pupils can fulfil their potential. They can occasionally become overstimulated, and this can lead to behavioural outbursts. Therefore, senior leadership of this school require a TA to have an empathetic, calm and confident approach when managing disruptive behaviour. This may involve making the most of the additional facilities at the school such as their sensory room.

The successful applicant will also be expected to support emotional and social development, regularly communicating any pastoral or day-to-day issues with the class teacher and the child’s parents.

  • £84+ per day through PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees) paid weekly,
  • SEN Primary School in Salford (M27), easily reachable via public transport or car (on-site parking),
  • Full-time role Monday-Friday, paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel,
  • ASAP start following registration with Teaching Personnel,
  • Permanent role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
