Job description

Would you like to work in the first ever mainstream school in Manchester to have an internal Special Educational Needs provision?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Gorton who are opening an internal Special Education Needs provision that can provide high quality education for all pupils. This academy is looking for a number of new support staff who can work in this provision, that will have 4 classes. The successful candidates will also have a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives. 

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The head teacher is open to a number of different experienced applicants:

  • Graduates who are looking for a career in education.
  • Background in sports coaching, care settings and youth work encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to working within a new environment.
  • Previous experience in SEN or school settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
