Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant 

Our agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a reputable Primary and Secondary SEN School in Rossendale. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator looking for a stable, full-time role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8:50am – 3:30pm

  • £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

  • Full-time, with temp-to-perm potential for the right candidate

The Role

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC, SEMH and complex learning needs

  • Work effectively with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored interventions

  • Assist with classroom management and help adapt learning resources to suit individual needs

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage growth and confidence

  • Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is highly desirable

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour and learning

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

  • A genuine passion for supporting the progress and wellbeing of pupils

  • Reliability, professionalism and a proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
