SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS11

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£83.85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils with SEN
  • Providing one-on-one support to pupils with SEN in classroom activities
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid training

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a school setting
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for occasional additional hours or activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
