SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS7

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£77 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of pupils with special educational needs
  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN children
  • Providing one-on-one support to pupils with learning difficulties
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members and parents to support pupil progress progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
  • Ability to provide individualised support to pupils
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Collaborative working environment with teachers and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
